Please describe your position and what you enjoy most about it.

I’m the Media Director at Connection Point Church, overseeing the Audiovisual technology on our two campuses in Raytown and Lee’s Summit, 密苏里州. I also lead the volunteers who serve faithfully every Sunday in our department. 我喜欢我的工作, because I get to come to work every day and find ways to convey the message of the Gospel through technology. I also get to do ministry with a great group of people, which makes it even better.

What aspects of your HLGU experience helped you prepare for your career?

Between the great hands-on academic program I was involved in, and the on-campus work of working for Campus Sound and running events all over campus, I had a mix of experiences that have served me well so far in my career.

Have you or are you currently continuing your education? If so, please list the institution(s) and degree(s) you earned or are working toward.

I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Video Content and Promotion from Liberty University.

How did HLGU shape you as a person?

HLGU shaped me as a person by helping me find a deeper relationship with the Lord and connecting me with some of my best friends.

Do you have any tips to share with students interested in this field?

If I were to give one piece of advice to someone going into this field, it would be diversify your skills as much as possible. Seek learning opportunities that are outside of your major, but still applicable. I minored in Computer Information Systems, and those classes have helped me immensely in my work.

What on-campus activities were you involved in at HLGU?

Men’s Volleyball, Concert Choir, Phi Beta Delta, Student Ambassador

HLGU’s motto is “knowledge for service.” What roles have these values played in your life?

The knowledge that I gained in my time at HLGU has allowed me to follow God’s call into full time ministry work serving His church.
